Preserving: I canned tomatoes, and dehydrated apples. This was the first time I’d used my dehydrator, and I love it! I think we will make some deer jerky, if we get a deer. Does anyone have any advice on making deer jerky?

Goats: I talked to the owner of the buck I want to breed the does to. I will be taking them to be bred in October. I have friends and family members who are very sick, (quadruple heart bypass surgery, congestive heart failure, cancer, pneumonia, teenage suicide attempt, emotional problems, etc.), and a children’s home in Nicaragua is flooded. I know the house parents there.
It’s awful that these children are once again homeless. It seems that so many are hurting.
